Welcome to the Official Site of the (long awaited) complete EOB: The Eastern / Greek Orthodox Bible (Old and New Testament)

Dear friends in Christ,

We are delighted to announce the long-awaited (now ongoing) release of the complete Eastern Greek Orthodox Bible (EOB),  — soon to be available for the first time as a unified Orthodox Scripture in contemporary English.

The EOB New Testament has been warmly embraced by Orthodox Christians, clergy, scholars, and lay readers around the world. Its clear, faithful rendering of the 1904 Patriarchal Greek Text has helped countless believers encounter the apostolic writings with fresh clarity while remaining firmly rooted in the liturgical and theological tradition of the Orthodox Church. The enthusiastic reception of the EOB NT has confirmed the need for a matching Old Testament that continues the same high standard of accuracy, readability, and Orthodox fidelity.

Today we joyfully present the EOB Old Testament, released first in online format. This digital version will soon be accessible to everyone who wishes to explore the full riches of the Orthodox canon. In approximately two years, the complete EOB — both Old and New Testaments — will also appear in a beautiful printed format, designed for personal study, parish use, and lifelong devotion.

In keeping with the spirit of the EOB New Testament, the Old Testament translation is based on the most authoritative Orthodox textual tradition, giving primary place to the Codex Alexandrinus. At the same time, the edition maintains full scholarly transparency: significant textual variants from other major Septuagint codices, as well as noteworthy differences found in the Masoretic Text and the Dead Sea Scrolls, are clearly indicated in the notes.

Whether you are a lifelong Orthodox Christian, a catechumen, a pastor, or simply someone seeking the Word of God as preserved in the Greek Orthodox heritage, the complete EOB is offered to you with love and prayer. May the Holy Spirit illumine your heart as you read, and may the Scriptures — now fully available in one harmonious Orthodox voice — draw you ever closer to our Lord Jesus Christ.
